LMEX has more than recovered its losses from the middle of last month

The LME's industrial metals index (LMEX) has more than recovered its losses from the middle of last month and is now even trading at a slightly higher level. The reason for this is the recent gradual easing of the previously strict Corona restrictions in some Chinese cities, which has fuelled hopes of an economic revival in China's most important sales market. According to experts, however, caution is still called for, as it is unclear how the Corona strategy will develop in the event of a further increase in new infections. Only recently these had reached a new high for the year. The potential for a setback in industrial metal prices is therefore likely to remain high.
