World's third largest steel producer about to be established in China

Following a merger agreement already signed between Ansteel and the Ben Gang Group, Liaoning Province will transfer its 51 percent stake in Ben Gang to Ansteel.
With the completion of the merger, Ansteel will have a steel production capacity of 63 million tonnes, making it the third largest in the world after Baowu Steel Group, also based in China, and ArcelorMittal, based in Luxembourg. A
nsteel plans to increase its steel production to 70 million tons per year by 2025. Ben Gang was established in 1905, Ansteel in 1916, both companies operate in Liaoning Province.
