Tata Steel expands its Colorcoat Prisma color offering for building shells
by David Fleschen
Tata Steel is responding to the growing demand for metallic colors for aesthetic building envelopes with new developments in its product range: The new gold tone Seren Midas now complements the Colorcoat Prisma® range and offers a warm and vibrant effect, especially for highly aesthetic buildings. The name Seren Midas comes from Greek mythology: According to legend, King Midas turned everything he touched into gold. In addition to Seren Midas, the metallic colors Seren Copper and Seren Silver are also part of the Colorcoat Prisma® Elements portfolio. Tata Steel grants the Confidex® guarantee on the premium coatings with a term of up to 30 years.
Colorcoat Prisma® is one of Tata Steel's prepainted steel products for metal roof and facade cladding that combines outstanding aesthetics with durable durability. Thanks to Tata Steel's innovative three-layer manufacturing technology, Colorcoat Prisma® not only sets new standards in UV resistance, but also exceeds the highest European requirements for corrosion protection.
"Although we already have a gold tone in the Elements range, we have set ourselves the goal of developing a much more striking, intense color," says Dr. Peter Barker, Head of Product Development at Tata Steel. "Our new gold shade has aroused keen interest among architects and building designers around the world. Seren Midas is a bright, shiny gold that allows architects to create impressive buildings. It is a shade that simply shines in any weather, whether it's sunny summer days or rainy weather.
