Sonaca continues to rely on tk Aerospace
by Hans Diederichs
Until In 2023, thyssenkrupp's aviation experts take over the warehousing and supply chain management for the management as well as comprehensive processing services of the just-in-time required materials for the Sonaca site in Mirabel, Canada.
"To understand the requirements of our customers exactly and to develop tailor-made solutions for them to ensure that they concentrate fully on their core business is very important to us," says Arina van Oost, Managing Director thyssenkrupp Aerospace Canada, and she adds: "Through various workshops and a tight schedule of exchange, we have succeeded in increasing the service level for Sonaca even further and to offer additional services." In order to meet the increased requirements and the daily just-in-time deliveries, the storage areas and pre-processing aggregates were installed . At the heart of this investment is the new waterjet cutting machine, which offers the cutting of aluminium blanks exactly according to customer requirements.
Sonaca is also convinced of the cooperation: "thyssenkrupp Aerospace has established itself as a reliable partner and helps us to achieve our goals," says Paul Constanzo, who will become CEO of Sonaca Montreal on July 1, 2019.
