Sülzle receives award for entrepreneurial excellence

Under the motto “outstanding corporate management deserves recognition”, the Sülzle Group received the “Axia Best Managed Companies Award” on 15 May 2020. The coveted award is presented annually to German medium-sized companies that demonstrate entrepreneurial excellence from the perspective of the renowned initiators Deloitte, WirtschaftsWoche, Credit Suisse and the Federation of German Industries. The business award, which was established in Canada in the 1990s by Deloitte, has already been successfully introduced in more than 20 countries. Due to the current Covid 19 pandemic, this year’s award ceremony was not a glamorous evening event.
“As one of the award winners, the Sülzle Group also convinces with its first-class corporate management – through high innovative strength, a strategy based on long-term thinking and strong governance structures. Sülzle is thus not only a benchmark for excellently managed medium-sized companies, but also symbolizes the future of Germany as a business location,” says Lutz Meyer, partner and head of the medium-sized company program at Deloitte. “The current situation around COVID-19 also poses enormous challenges for German medium-sized businesses. More than ever, entrepreneurial qualities such as strategic foresight, consistent, future-oriented action and value-oriented corporate management are in demand. Our Best Managed Companies also stand for this”, adds program manager Markus Seiz from Deloitte.
The internal key areas evaluated by the initiators of the “Axia Best Managed Companies Award” were strategy, productivity and innovation, culture, and commitment as well as finance and governance. “A long-term strategic corporate orientation combined with decision-making and implementation strength as well as sustainable and value-oriented action form the foundation of our success,” explains Heinrich Sülze. At the same time, Sülzle’s strong group of companies with its 23 locations in Germany and two in France stands for securing and expanding the economic future.
“We would like to express our special thanks to all employees, customers, suppliers, service providers and partners who, through their daily commitment and support, have made such an award possible. They are largely responsible for the success of our company and help shape its direction day after day,” says managing partner Andreas Sülzle, who is the fourth generation of the Rosenfeld family to head the company together with his brother Heinrich.
