Purchase study: About 40 percent of German companies rely on self-developed solutions

he BME and the consulting firm entero have published an update of the joint survey.
· "About 40 percent of the surveyed companies continue to rely on self-developed solutions for purchasing controlling - in addition to SAP, no other standard solution has a significant market penetration."
· "Only three-dimensional printing, Agile Procurement and RPA (Robotic Process Automation) are currently being used to a significant extent by the future topics in procurement."
· "Purchasing controlling integrated into the system landscape helps to increase the importance of purchasing in the company."
These are just a few of the results of the survey "Purchasing Controlling in Germany - Strategies, Systems and Organizational Forms" conducted jointly by the German Association Materials Management, Purchasing and Logistics e.V. (BME) and entero AG in January / February 2019.
The fourth updated edition of the successful study series gives decision-makers and implementers in purchasing, controlling and IT, among others. again valuable information about:
· The most important strategies in purchasing,
· The appropriate KPIs in purchasing controlling as well
· The most common IT systems in purchasing and controlling.
For the study series "Purchasing Controlling in Germany" more than 9,000 members of the BME were contacted. The 410 companies that participated in the study averaged an annual purchasing volume of 463 million euros.
