The international foundry company Procast Guss has appointed Robert Kiefer (52) as its new Head of Sales. Kiefer will primarily be responsible for driving forward Procast Guss' strong growth in foreign markets.

‘Robert Kiefer is an exceptionally accomplished sales professional with extensive international experience and an excellent Europe-wide network,’ says Graziano Sammati, Managing Director of Procast Guss GmbH. ‘This makes him an excellent fit for our company, which is developing strongly in international business.’

Kiefer is responsible for sales at Procast Guss GmbH in Gütersloh and Nortorf and the new site in Abadiño/Spain. His core tasks include acquiring new customers throughout Europe and strengthening co-operation with existing customers. He will also continue to drive forward the integration of the locations at sales level. In future, customers should benefit more from synergy effects within the Group and a broader product portfolio. The Procast Group also includes Procast Handform GmbH, based in Kiel, which is designed for casting weights of up to 55 tonnes.

‘The different locations allow Procast Guss to operate flexibly on the market,’ emphasises Robert Kiefer. ‘The location in Spain also gives us access to other foreign markets. This is a very interesting position for a foundry company to expand its international business.’ The transport, energy and food sectors in particular are important future markets that he wants to focus on more strongly in sales. Procast already manufactures components for generators, agricultural machinery and rail transport. Its customers include well-known companies such as CLAAS, AGCO, ZF Friedrichshafen and Caterpillar.

Robert Kiefer has more than 20 years of experience in the foundry industry and has worked for various international foundry groups in France, Finland, Turkey and Sweden. Most recently, he held the position of Chief Sales Officer at the Gienanth Group. There he was responsible for the sales strategy for six European locations.
