Order sheet and plates with the click of a mouse

The VDM Metals Service Center Europe, in cooperation with the digital marketplace for materials, XOM Materials, has launched its own online shop. With this shop, the company seeks to expand its service portfolio for customers and to offer even faster service. The digital platform makes it possible to purchase products 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from any location.

“With our online shop, we have fulfilled the wish of many customers to be able to quickly and easily order materials. We will be continuously expanding our selection in the online shop. Currently, we are starting with sheets and plates. The standard dimensions are supplemented by special sizes, which are of interest for repeat deliveries,” explains Lars Klöpper, Senior Vice President Service Center. “Wire, rods and billets will follow later.”

Customers can learn with a click in which standard or special dimensions the materials are available. The filtering options and descriptions of the articles are similar to those of other online dealers. Both registration and ordering are child’s play. The current focus lies on the European and Asian market, but the service is available worldwide.

“If further processing is desired, such as laser or water jet cuts, customers can also request a callback via the online shop since the price must be calculated on an individual basis in this case. We are pleased to expand our extensive service offering with the new, modern web shop,” says Klöpper. Orders of large quantities or call-off orders can still be placed as usual directly with the Service Center or via Sales.
