New trade fair format for the welding and cutting industry in Düsseldorf

Messe Düsseldorf is introducing "The Ultimate World of Cutting and Welding - Urban Steel Expo" (USE), a new trade fair format for the welding and cutting industry. This platform combines modern technology, business networking, and event culture and will premiere from April 20 to 23, 2027. It is planned to be held every four years.

Innovative Trade Fair Concept for the Industry

USE 2027 follows a new approach that expands traditional trade fair formats. The event will provide companies in the welding, cutting, and related technology sectors with a platform to showcase innovations and strengthen business relationships. According to Bernd Jablonowski, Executive Director of Messe Düsseldorf, the location offers optimal conditions for such a concept: "The industry has called for a modern, dynamic trade fair. With USE 2027, we are creating a new dimension for professional exchange and setting new standards."

Leading companies such as Kemper, Filtershop, Microstep, Accurl Europe, Weldas, Sinto Agtos, Optrel, Kuka, Cloos, EWM, Jasic, ESAB, Siegmund, OTC, Kjellberg, and Abicor-Binzel have already confirmed their participation. Daniel Ryfisch, Director of USE/wire & Tube and Flow Technologies at Messe Düsseldorf, explains: "USE 2027 provides a platform to make technological advancements tangible and enhance industry networking. The early commitments from leading companies confirm their trust in our concept."

Urban Steel Rockstars as Part of USE 2027

A key feature of USE 2027 is the integration of the industry event "Urban Steel Rockstars" (USR). Organized annually by MingleMakers UG, this event focuses on communication, brand presence, and experiences. The collaboration with Messe Düsseldorf enables the combination of traditional trade fair concepts with innovative elements.

A central part of USR is the Masterclasses, where industry experts share their knowledge on current trends. Frederic Lanz, CEO of MingleMakers UG, emphasizes: "Integrating USR into USE 2027 provides a unique opportunity to bring the industry together in a new way and establish Düsseldorf as a key location for this innovative trade fair."
