by David Fleschen
The board of the German Association of Materials Management, Purchasing and Logistics e.V. (BME) was newly elected on January 15, 2021, as part of the delegates' meeting, which was held digitally for the first time. The governing body met on the same day for its first constituent meeting in Eschborn.
Gundula Ullah (Division Manager Purchasing, Funke Mediengruppe, Essen) succeeds Horst Wiedmann, who did not stand for re-election after two terms in office, as the new Chair of the Board. Wiedmann had been chairman since 2012.
Christian Staab (BorgWarner Transmission, Ketsch, Germany) was elected as vice chairman of the board and Martin Müller-Raidt (KfW-Bankengruppe, Frankfurt) as treasurer. Christian Satzek (Lenze, Hameln, Germany) was elected as a further member of the Executive Federal Board (BV) at the constituent meeting. Together, they and Gundulla Ullah form the executive BV with BME CEO Dr. Silvius Grobosch.
