Messe Düsseldorf GmbH evaluates the staging of proprietary events at the Düsseldorf exhibition centre

The VDW (Verein Deutscher Werkzeugmaschinenfabrike; English: German Machine Tool Builders' Association), organiser of METAV 2020 – International Trade Fair for Metalworking Technologies – today decided to postpone the trade fair, which was to be held in Düsseldorf from 10 to 13 March. In coordination with Messe Düsseldorf, a new date for the event will be sought in the near future.
Against the background of the postponement of METAV and a not yet foreseeable situation regarding the corona virus in Düsseldorf and NRW, Messe Düsseldorf will re-evaluate the situation for the upcoming proprietary events at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre following the pending decision of the health authorities. This concerns the BEAUTY, TOP HAIR, ENERGY STORAGE EUROPE, ProWein, wire and Tube trade fairs.
Werner M. Dornscheidt, Chairman of the Board of Management of Messe Düsseldorf GmbH: "We take the concerns about the corona virus that are being brought to our attention very seriously. The safety of our customers, partners, employees and neighbours is our top priority. We are in direct contact with the responsible health authorities and trust in their recommendation".
