As of August 1, Malte Seifert (37) is the new Project Director of GIFA, METEC, THERMPROCESS and NEWCAST. He is responsible not only for the trade fair quartet, which will be held in Düsseldorf next year from June 12 to 16, but also for the seven international offshoots of Bright World of Metals. He is also taking over the management of the decarbXpo event, whose core theme is decarbonization in all areas of manufacturing - not least in the foundry and metalworking industries. It has evolved from the former ENERGY STORAGE EUROPE and will be held for the first time with this new focus from September 20 to 22, 2022.
Seifert, an MBA graduate from Hochschule Niederrhein, is well known at Messe Düsseldorf: He already worked for the company from 2010 to 2019 - initially for boot and most recently as Senior Manager for interpack where he played a key role in analysing the potential of new foreign markets and their development. Similar tasks now await the former professional ice hockey player.
“I am very happy to have Malte Seifert back on board again at Messe Düsseldorf. He has that special kind of drive we need to further develop the trade fair portfolio around our metal trade fair quartet and decarbXpo – a drive we will also use for our current internal strategic planning for the future,” comments Bernd Jablonowski, Executive Director at Messe Düsseldorf.
For Malte Seifert the metal sector is not a new territory: at organiser RX Global he was most recently in charge of the leading global trade fair ALUMINIUM as Project Manager. ALUMIMIUM takes place every 2 years as a guest event at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre – next time from 27 to 29 September 2022.
