Made in Steel postponed until May 2021

siderweb has agreed to the requests of the steel supply chain
The ninth edition of Made in Steel, the main Conference & Exhibition in Southern Europe dedicated to the steel industry, organised by siderweb - The Italian steel community, has been postponed from March to the end of May 2021.The event will be held from 26 to 28 May 2021 in fieramilano Rho, pavilions 22 and 24.
The decision has come after a long period of reflection and open discussions with operators in the steel industry and Fiera Milano. Given longer than anticipated exit times from the Covid-19 pandemic health emergency, the postponement is intended to ensure maximum safety for exhibitors and the thousands of visitors expected.
"I believe that Made in Steel 2021 is a unique opportunity for the Italian, European and world steel industry - explains Emanuele Morandi, President and Chief Operating Officer of Made in Steel - on the one hand because the main international steel fairs have been moved to 2022, on the other hand because, after more than a year of enforced but necessary distancing, at Made in Steel we shall be able to meet our desires for rebirth, a restart, physicality, expressivity and handshakes. Digital is certainly important, but it does not fulfil the need for relationships from meetings in person.
We at siderweb and Made in Steel are not only organisers of trade fair events, but we are also part of the steel supply chain. For this reason, we have accepted requests to postpone our event to a later date in which, given the most recent developments, the contagion curve should be reduced to zero."
"As always - continues Emanuele Morandi - Made in Steel will thrive not only on relationships, but also on content. We shall devote plenty of space to debates on the future of steel: I am thinking in particular of the development plans that our industry will present to the Government and the European Union as part of the NextGenerationEu, the funds of which promise to relaunch the economy. My invitation is this: let's not waste the opportunities of the current global crisis, because within it there are opportunities for the entire steel supply chain."
The ninth edition of Made in Steel will be held in conjunction with Lamiera (26 to 29 May 2021), the international exhibition promoted by UCIMU-Sistemi per produrre dedicated to the industry of sheet metal forming machine tools and innovative technologies related to the sector.
