In first 3 months of 2022 shipments of EU SSC increased by 2,3% y/y

In the first 3 months of 2022 compared to the first 3 months 2021, Strip Mill Products shipments increased by 2,3%, year-on-year, compared with a decrease of -0,2% for the first 2 months.
When expressed in days of shipments, stocks at EU SSC reached 64 days in March 2022, compared to 55 days in March 2021.
For March 2022, the index of stock volumes did rise and noted at index 104, to be compared with index 83 in March 2021 (average 2018 = index 100).
EU Multi-Product & Proximity Steel Stockholding Distribution
In the first 3 months of 2022 compared to the first 3 months of 2021, EU27 + UK Multi-Product & Proximity Steel Stockholding Distribution only Rebars and Plates had a positive run registering higher shipments. All other products had a negative run.
As a matter of fact, in the first 3 months of 2022 total shipments decreased by -8,2 %, year-on-year.
In March of 2022 compared to March of 2021, stocks increased by 7,0%. Only Long Steel Products noted a drop.
