In first 2 months of 2021, shipments of EU SSC dropped by -5,5%

In first 2 months of 2021, shipments of EU27 + UK SSC did fall by -5,5% in a year-on-year comparison.
In February of 2021 compared to February 2020, Strip Mill Products shipments did drop by -1,7%, year-on-year, compared with -9,2% for the month of January.
When expressed in days of shipments, stocks at EU SSC reached 63 days in February 2021, compared to 66 days in February 2020.
For February 2021, the index of stock volumes did drop and noted at index 85, to be compared with index 92 in February 2020 (average 2018 = index 100).
EU Multi-Product & Proximity Steel Stockholding Distribution
In the first 2 months of 2021, EU27 + UK Multi-Product & Proximity Steel Stockholding Distribution registered lower shipments for all products of its portfolio, except Cold Rolled Flats.
As a matter of fact, during the first 2 months of 2021, total shipments dropped by -4,8 %, year-on-year.
February of 2021 compared to February 2020, “Total Steel Products” shipments decreased, year-on-year by -3,4%. Strip Mill Products (Hot Rolled Flats, Cold Rolled Flats, Galv. & Other Coated Flats), Stainless Steel and Other Alloy Steels had a positive trend.
Stock volumes index of EU27 + UK Multi-Product & Proximity Steel Stockholding Distribution registered at 78 in February 2021, to be compared to a significantly higher index of 85 one year before (average 2018 =Index 100).
When expressed in days of shipments, stock volumes leveled in February 2021 at 66 days of shipments, compared to 70 days in February 2020.
