Endress+Hauser of Switzerland increases sales and profit in 2021

Endress+Hauser put the coronavirus pandemic behind it economically in 2021 with strong growth. The company group's consolidated sales rose by more than 11 percent to just under 2.9 billion euros. The company, which specializes in measurement and automation technology, thus clearly exceeded its own expectations.
In terms of net sales as well as profit, the family-owned company not only increased compared to the previous year, but also exceeded the comparative figures for 2019. Employment also grew significantly. At the end of 2021, the group of companies had more than 15,000 employees worldwide, over 600 more than a year ago. "We continued and implemented all major investment projects as planned," emphasized Chief Financial Officer Dr. Luc Schultheiss.
The rapid recovery was not foreseeable for the company in this way. "We have seen strong catch-up effects, but also solid growth in virtually all our strategic industries," said CEO Matthias Altendorf. He added that Endress+Hauser has "always remained able to deliver" despite pandemic-related restrictions, bottlenecks in procurement markets and strained logistics chains.
