Dr. Robert Kühn joins Management Board of Wuppermann AG

As of November 15, 2018, Dr. Ing. Robert Kühn has joined the Management Board of Wuppermann AG. He will assume overall responsibility for Wuppermann Hungary Kft. The new site for flat products in the Hungarian port of Győr-Gönyű started production at the end of 2016. In addition, the doctorated engineer for process engineering will support Dr.-Ing. Peter Jongenburger, who has been a member of the Board of Management of Wuppermann AG since 2008 and is responsible for the five production sites of Flat & Tube as well as the Research & Development division.

Dr. Ing. Kühn, 49, has many years of experience in management within the steel industry. At Schmiedewerke Gröditz GmbH, a company of the Georgsmarienhütte Group, he was responsible for the department of technology beginning in 2007. In 2012, his area of responsibility extended to the Gröditzer Kurbelwelle Wildau GmbH and in addition to the GMH Schmiedetechnik GmbH with several production sites.

His career within the Georgsmarienhütte Group began in 1999 after completing a research project on energy efficiency in steelmaking. In addition to his work, Dr. Ing. Kühn achieved a Master of Business Administration.
