by David Fleschen
Effective immediately, Andreas Kersch assumes the newly created position of head of Supply Chain Management (SCM) at Wuppermann Stahl GmbH in Leverkusen. In this position, he coordinates the supply chain for the traditional family-owned company in the steel industry within the group. The SCM expert reports directly to Johannes Nonn, Spokesman of the Board of Management of Wuppermann AG.
Andreas Kersch has spent his entire career in supply chain management, where he has continuously developed his skills. Almost continuously since 2012, the 45-year-old has held managing director positions. Most recently, the lawyer was responsible for supply chain management at ACO Passavant GmbH, which is part of a family business for drainage technology. Kersch spent five years at ArcelorMittal gaining experience in the steel industry, most of it in China, where he lived for ten years. Prior to that, the father of three children had worked for the industrial equipment company Octopus in Korea for one year.
“I worked my entire career in supply chain. I am fascinated by the holistic approach. I look forward to getting to know Wuppermann and breaking new ground together with the staff,” says Andreas Kersch.
“We warmly welcome Andreas Kersch to Wuppermann and look forward to benefiting from his expertise. We are confident that he is the ideal person to fill the new position of head of Supply Chain Management”, Johannes Nonn adds.
